less-studio is a global team of senior designers and technologists, working across digital product design and development.

We started less-studio to remove the friction we experienced after more than 10 years in traditional agencies and consultancies - layers, overhead, and too much time spent talking instead of building.

Our model is simple: bring together experienced people who can plug into teams, take ownership, and move work forward from day one.

We care more about outcomes than process. So we stay close to the product - designing, building, and shipping alongside our clients.

By reducing unnecessary meetings, handovers, and complexity, we create space for what actually matters: delivering real products.

Mick is the co-founder of less-studio.

Over the past 15+ years, he has worked across startups, consultancies, and global product organisations - including leadership roles as CEO and board member - helping companies define digital strategy and bring it to life through real products.

His work sits at the intersection of design, technology, and business, with a focus on turning strategy into real products and outcomes.

After more than 15 years in the digital agency world, I’ve seen it evolve from a creative, optimistic “anything can be done” culture into one burdened by layers of management and diminishing trust, where process too often overshadows craft.

With less-studio, the goal is to reconnect with those who still believe in design and development as true craftsmanship — building on trust, respect, and outcomes. After nearly 15 years at ustwo, it was time to return to the JFDI spirit. Let’s talk about how we can collaborate and create positive change.
